Q. I’ve been involved in an accident, what should I do?
A. Call our 24 hour accident assistance on 06 843 8200 for free accident assistance New Zealand wide. We have all of the relevant claim forms in our office so we can process your claim straight away.
Q. Do I have the right to choose my repairer?
A. YES!
Q. Do I need to contact several repairers for estimates?
A. No. It is your right to choose your own repairer. Only ONE estimate is required.
Q. Will I have to pay an excess if I am not at fault?
A. If you have all of the details of the other party involved, there is no reason why an excess should apply. You would be much better off putting the claim through your own insurance to avoid all of the delays and dramas associated with third party insurance.
Q. Can I get a quote for the repairs to my car over the phone?
A. There are too many variables when it comes to fixing vehicles, we need to inspect the vehicle to be able to assess the full extent of the damage. You can make an appointment for a quotation between 7.30am - 4.30pm weekdays.
Q. What should I do if I can’t make it to City Collision Repairs within business hours?
A. We can arrange a suitable time to come to you for your quotation.
Q. Must I notify the insurance company before repairs are made?
A. Yes. After we have quoted the damage, we will organise with your insurance company to inspect the vehicle and gain the necessary authorities so we can get started. At CCR, we organise everything for you.
Q. Can I get a courtesy car?
A. Yes, we can organise this for you. All you need to do is let us know and we will have a vehicle ready for you when you drop your car off for repairs.
Q. How will I know when my car is ready?
A. We keep you informed throughout the repair process, by your choice of telephone, text or email. Feel free to call or email your advisor any time during the repair process if you have any questions or concerns.
Q. Is there a warranty on the repairs to my vehicle?
A. Yes, all collision repairs performed by CCR have a five year written guarantee.
Q. Who do I pay my insurance excess to?
A. Excess payments are paid to the repairer. If the excess applies it will need to be paid prior to, or upon collection of your vehicle.
Q. What payment methods do you take when paying my insurance or excess?
A. Cash or Bank Cheque, Direct Deposit (72hr processing time), Cheque (four working day clearance prior to collection of vehicle), Credit Card.
