A LONG STANDING HISTORY IN HAWKE'S BAY: 1916 - 2016

A century ago CCR was A Dykes and Sons, primarily a coaching and wheelwright (fixing wooden wheels) business.  It evolved with the motor vehicle by first building them, importing truck chassis, adding a motor and building the body.  As vehicles became more common so did collisions and the business evolved into panelbeating.  Roger Greaney was just 16 when he started his apprenticeship there 47 years ago.  The industry has continued to changed to kept up with times.  Read more here in HB Today's article.  Visit our 100 years page for photos and more on the City Collision Repairs (CCR) story.
